LOGIN HELP
Username
Your username is the first initial of your first name combined with your last name (John Doe = jdoe). If you have trouble, check with your HR administrator (usually the Human Resource Manager).
Password
The first time you log in, your password is your first name. Make sure you are using the same first name that your employee record has on the system. For example, you may go by "Bill" but your employee record may have your first name as "William." As soon as you log in the first time, you will be required to change your password to something besides your first name. Then you will have to log in again with your new password.
Please remember your new password; nobody will have access to it, not even the administrator who creates your employee record on the system. If you forget your password, you will need to go to have an HR Administrator to have it set back to your first name.
Creating an Easy-to-Remember Password
Creating a strong and easy-to-remember password need not be difficult. Complex passwords using a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters help make a password secure; however, the length of the password also affects its strength.
A password such as T4^l/Nx@ is strong, but difficult to remember. A much easier-to-remember, though longer, phrase such as cake frosting is sticky is also very strong. If you want to strengthen a phrase even more, include punctuation, numbers or other special characters, e.g., Cake frosting is STICKY!
Pass phrases of 20 characters or longer are extremely strong even without special characters. If the login page accepts spaces, include them and they will count as additional characters. Of course, you should use separate passwords for different accounts and avoid common phrases that might be easily guessed.
Also, do not write your password down; it is much safer to choose a phrase that is easy to remember, and you can always have an HR Administrator reset or generate a new password if it is forgotten.
